A 2024 study by Vanderbilt University’s Future of Free Speech think tank concluded that under the DSA, “online legal speeches constituted the bulk of the content removed” on Facebook and YouTube in France, Germany and Sweden — with percentage of deleted legal content ranging from 87.5% to 99.7% of the published publications removed. 41.4 million content was removed in the first half of 2025 alone.
